Multi-Homed Connectivity
StarTouch operates its privately owned OC12 Microwave Backbone
This private infrastructure provides IP transport on a direct path to the Westin Carrier Building located in Seattle, WA.
Our data center also has diverse egress paths to Vancouver, British Columbia. This provides the most reliable connectivity into Tier 1 Global IP Networks, through two major Internet exchange points, to ensure 100% uptime.
Our backbone infrastructure is complemented with both Microwave and Fiber Optics, utilizing Cisco GSR 12000 Gigabit Switch Routers that help measure fail-over time in milliseconds and provides MPLS connectivity to locations on our network.
Backup Power Systems
StarTouch does not rely upon the local power grid to guarantee uptime. Our data center’s on-site, natural gas-powered generator and centralized Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) provide power conditioning and ensure uninterrupted dedicated hosting data center operation.
The generator is regularly tested to make certain that all systems will function as needed in the event of an emergency.
Regulated Climate Control
Our redundant HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning) systems have full particle filtering and humidity control. The environment within the data center is climate controlled to ensure that your server is functioning at its best in an optimal environment.
Data Center Security
Our data center is physically isolated from everyone but senior technicians and authorized StarTouch colocation clients. Monitored closed circuit television, pass card access and biometric fingerprint scan units provide further layers of security.
24x7 Support
Network Operations Center (NOC) staff monitor the network 24x7, with StarTouch network engineers available 24x7, for remote hands in the event of an emergency. |
