Please Review Startouch Policy & Disclaimer Prior to Using Instructions for Configurations.
Welcome to Startouch! We realize that many people are unfamiliar with how to adjust the settings on their computers to allow them to send and receive e-mails. Below are some easy-to-follow instructions designed for the newer versions of the most commonly-used mail programs, Outlook Express and Outlook. If you are an Eudora user, please CLICK HERE to view appropriate instructions OUTLOOK EXPRESS INSTRUCTIONS: STEP 1. Open "Outlook Express" on your computer. STEP 2: Click on the "TOOLS" section located at the top of our screen. STEP 3: Click on "ACCOUNTS". STEP 4: Select "ADD" under the Mail tab (which should automatically be showing). STEP 5: When drop-down menu appears, select "MAIL". STEP 6:
Where it asks for "DISPLAY NAME", type in your name (or whatever
you would like the recipient STEP 7: Click the "NEXT" button. STEP 8: Next it will ask you if you have an email address you would like to use. Click the round circle to indicate yes, and type in the exact email address you have provided Startouch. DO NOT SELECT THE SECOND OPTION FOR A NEW ACCOUNT. Make sure that if you are using a Startouch address, you enter it as the following example: suzy@startouch.net For
e-mail addresses you have provided to Startouch that are used with your
own domain name, STEP 9: Click the "NEXT" button. STEP 10: A page will appear with some text fields that need you to enter some information. The POP3 option is automatically selected, and should remain so. Use the following information to fill in the rest of the information required. Type in the information that is highlighted in blue letters into the appropriate fields. Your password is the exact one you provided Startouch at the time you placed your order. (Use your own domain name here if you have one hosted with Startouch) POP:
mail.startouch.net STEP 11: Click the "NEXT" button. STEP
12: This page asks you for your user/account name and password. Delete
the user name that automatically
appears and type over it using the following example that is highlighted
in blue letters: ACCOUNT/USER
NAME: suzy@startouch.net **DO
NOT CLICK ON THE "REMEMBER PASSWORD" BOX unless you
want others to be able to access your STEP 13: Click on "NEXT" STEP 14: Select the "CLOSE" option. You should have a response that says "You have successfully completed......" . (Future changes to this specific e-mail account may not show this response) In order
for your connection to be complete, please click on the "SEND/RECEIVE"
button at the top of your NOTE: When logging on to send and/or receive e-mails, the gray box that pops up asking for your USER NAME is simply asking for your e-mail name without the domain extension. For example, the USER NAME in this case would be "suzy", and the PASSWORD being asked for would be what was provided to Startouch at the time of the order. STEP 1: Open Outlook STEP 2: Click on "TOOLS" STEP 3: Click on "E-MAIL ACCOUNTS" STEP 4: Select "E-mail" - Add a new email account STEP 5: Click on "NEXT" STEP 6: SELECT POP3 STEP 7: Click "NEXT" STEP 8: Enter the following configuration information shown in blue letters after observing the notes below. Make sure that if you are using a Startouch address, you enter it as the following example: suzy@startouch.net For
e-mail addresses you have provided to Startouch that are used with your
own domain name,
STEP 9: Click "NEXT" STEP
10: Click "FINISH" In order
