EMAIL CONFIGURATION ASSISTANCE

Disclaimer Regarding Use of Configuration Information

Welcome to StarTouch! We realize that many people are unfamiliar with how to adjust the settings on their computers to allow them to send and receive emails. Below are some easy-to-follow instructions designed for the newer versions of the most commonly used mail programs, Outlook Express, Outlook, Eudora, and of course StarMail.

USING STARMAIL

StarMail is a web-based email program offered by StarTouch as a free service to all of its subscribers. Access to email is readily available from all computers with Internet access. Simply visit our home page at www.startouch.com and click on the StarMail Login button. (save a shortcut to your desktop for future, quick access).

To login, type in your full startouch.net email address, and your usual password. Always use lower case letters. If StarTouch is hosting your company's domain name, you may use this system to access your mail by following these same instructions.

Use StarMail to change your password, check for lost emails in the SPAM folder, white-list or black-list a sender, create your auto-responder, and more!

9: Click the "NEXT" button.

10: A page will appear with some text fields that need you to enter some information. The POP3 option is automatically selected, and should remain so. POP: mail.startouch.net
SMTP: mail.startouch.net

13: Click on "NEXT"

14: Select the "CLOSE" option.

You should have a response that says "You have successfully completed......" (Future changes to this specific email account may not show this response)

In order for your connection to be complete, please click on the "SEND/RECEIVE" button at the top of your email screen. REPEAT this step.

NOTE: When logging on to send and/or receive emails, the gray box that pops up asking for your USER NAME is simply asking for your email name without the domain extension. For example, the USER NAME in this case would be "yourname", and the PASSWORD being asked for would be what was provided to StarTouch at the time of the order.

If you have not successfully configured your computer, please contact us at (360) 543-5679 Monday thru Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., or e-mail us at technical@startouch.com.
