How do I know if I can get a connection? |

One of StarTouch's qualified field technicians will visit your location and determine if you are in a service area. To make arrangements for an evaluation, please email us, or call our sales department at (360) 543-5679. |

What's involved in the installation? |
|
|
|
A. |
When the StarTouch field technician arrives at your location he will determine where to mount the antenna. Most antennas are between 1' and 2' in diameter. The technician usually will mount the equipment on the roof or somewhere elevated off of the ground. A cable will then be run from the equipment on the roof to inside your building, where we will provide an Ethernet Cat5 RJ45 connection. This will plug or interface directly with your existing hub, switch, server, etc. Most installs take between 2 and 6 hours to complete, depending on the circumstances such as networking requests, additional equipment, etc. |

Do I need to provide anything for the service? |

|
|
A. |
StarTouch requires a router/firewall for the equipment to plug into. Please let your sales person know at the time of order if you would like to purchase this directly from StarTouch, or if you will be providing your own. |

How do I know how many Gigs I will use each month? |
|
|
|
A. |
StarTouch's technical staff monitors each connection with usage graphs on a daily, weekly and monthly bases. Upon request, you will be provided with a link to those graphs to monitor your usage. There is a small monthly fee for this service. |

How fast is the service? |
|
|
|
A. |
StarTouch has many different high-speed service levels available. Our wireless services for business start at 1.5Mbps/1.5Mbps. With StarTouch's new line of Wireless equipment we can provide Broadband with speeds up to Gigabit levels - truly amazing speeds are now ready for your network or browsing needs. Please ask your sales person to explain which service level best fits your needs. |

How long do I have to wait for the service? |

Depending on your location, most connections are installed within 7-10 business days after receipt of the completed Order Form. Connection fees and the first month's service fees are due at the time of order. Emergency installations are available with a minimum $250.00 escalation fee. |

Is there a contract? |

|
A. |
Yes, Startouch requires a minimum 1 year term for the business-class connection. The term automatically renews for an additional year unless proper advance notice is provided to StarTouch in writing. |

Does StarTouch provide Web hosting and e-mails? |
|
|
A. |
Yes, StarTouch can provide e-mail services with your current email address, or we can provide one of ours with the "startouch.net" domain name. StarTouch also offers Virus and Spam filtered emails & Web site hosting. |

Are static IP numbers available? |

Yes, StarTouch can provide as many Static IP numbers as needed for our business service packages. For Static IP addresses beyond what is provided with your selected service package, there are additional set-up and monthly fees. Justification letters may be required. |

Can I have more than one computer hooked up to the connection? |

Yes, you can add as many computers as you want through use of a standard or wireless router. There are no additional charges for more than one computer. |

Can my company receive a discount for more than one location? |

There are no discounts for multiple locations/connections. |
