STARTOUCH, INC. Acquires Network Assets from
Great Western Communications

FERNDALE , WA . – July 1, 2009 . StarTouch, Inc., a major regional Northwest Washington Service Provider and leader in IP Transport and last-mile WiMax Microwave Services today announced that it has entered into a definitive Acquisition Agreement with Great Western Communications (GWC), a leading investment firm focused on large-scale investments in technology-driven growth industries. 

After an extensive review of “GWC’s” numerous Microwave towers in Eastern Washington, and OC-48 Fiber Optic terminals located in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana, StarTouch determined that its transaction with “GWC”  to acquire these assets provided a significant strategic addition to StarTouch’s existing Microwave and Fiber Optic Long-Haul, WiMax, and IP networks.

StarTouch’s newly-owned assets currently provide Multi-Gigabit Microwave and Fiber Optic Long-haul IP Transport to numerous customers ranging from local ISP's to some of the largest names in the telecommunications industry .  Existing customers include both small and large businesses, medical communities, carriers, CLEC’s, and other IP-driven communities. These services are offered and available now for additional interested companies on both the interconnected Microwave tower systems, and OC48 Fiber Optic infrastructure.

Other Microwave services currently being deployed by StarTouch, Inc. include FCC Licensed last-mile WiMax Internet, and Layer 2 Point-to-Point services to the greater portion of Western and Eastern Washington , Idaho , Montana , and Oregon . Specific cities include, but are not limited to, Bellingham , Mt.
